Barbara Laporte has almost 25
years of experience in employee development and training and
career management. She has worked in the private and public
sectors and currently counsels graduate students in the School
of Public Health at the University of Minnesota. As a consultant,
Barbara has presented for leading outplacement firms including
DBM, Lee Hecht Harrison and Spherion. Barb’s master’s
degree is in Human Development from St. Mary’s University,
Winona, Minnesota. Her emphasis within that program was Career
/ Life Transition Counseling for Mid-life Adults.
Even more important than her employment experience
and educational credentials, Barbara has experienced significant
transitions in her own life, including the deaths of her husband,
her parents and a godchild; divorce; and job losses. These
“real-world” experiences enable Barb to bring
an unusual sense of empathy, compassion and knowledge to your
session.
Barbara has been using and teaching Treasure
Mapping as a goal accomplishment technique for over 15 years,
